The cost of living in Kitchener is lower than that of neighboring
Toronto. And Kitchener’s housing prices are below those
of neighboring Waterloo and Cambridge.
According to a study done by a national real estate organization,
homeownership still remains an affordable option for most Canadians.
In six markets which include Kitchener, average house prices are
expected to remain under $150,000.
With a wide spectrum of employment opportunities, a low average
cost of living, excellent value and availability of housing along
with low residential realty taxes, Kitchener is an attractive
place to live for many young professionals in the region.
